Washington Battles Roosevelt

The Eagles got three runs across with Lily Yang getting a RBI single. Fresi Thoo made a great catch in center field saving several runs but Minneapolis Roosevelt with series of hard hits and smart baserunning, were too much for the Eagles in a 3 to 17 loss. Yasmine Velez pitched several determined innings and Panghoua Vang- coming out from behind the plate, got the last two outs of the 4th inning spelling Velez giving Darkee Naw some time in the role of catcher. Mariah Pojar made a diving grab at first base in her first time at that position and many Eagles took on the challenge of new roles with the team. We are looking forward to our game tomorrow against Patrick Henry where we will hustle hard and represent Washington well.
