On Tuesday the 9th grade Eagles had their best performance in a rematch vs MTS. The Eagles started off strong trading baskets with MTS. However a MTS run put them up by 15. The guys regrouped and a 3 pointer by Chris Gordon and countless offensive rebounds by Lorenzo Hale sparked a quick comeback. The Eagles trailed by 2 at the half.

The second half was an intense battle with buckets dropping on both ends. With under a minute remaining and the Eagles down one, we couldn't grasp a lose ball and and MTS retained posession and we were forced to foul. MTS sanked both of their freethrows. After a timeout and down by 3 with 15 seconds remaining we had 2 good looks at the basket but unfortunatley none of them dropped.

Team captains Robby Sanders and Alejandro Santiago kept the team together after this tough loss and agreed that the team is getting better every game and that they battled the whole game.

I am so proud of these group of guys and look forward to see how the remaining games go.

The Eagles were led in scoring by Lorenzo Hale with 24 points and 16 rebounds. Robby Sanders put in 10 points while Alejandro Santiago scored 9. Elliott Suttles dropped 8 points. Demare White scored 6 points and once again was a defensive monster.
