Como Park faced Highland Park on Friday night, October the 2nd, in a home match that did not look promising. Highland Park's last conference game was a 1-1 tie with first place Central. Despite injuries to the starting line-up Como Park prevailed in this contest with excellent defense, solid goal keeping, and an constant attack led by senior Bri Menssen who scored both goals for the Cougars. Assisting on the goals were tenth grader Emily Forstrum and ninth grader Anna Erickson. The Cougars face Humboldt on Monday in a 3:15 away game.
