The Farnsworth Eagles girls soccer team gave it all they had Tuesday night in the City Championship match against Highland Park. Injuries and sickness took three players out of the game and that affected the team chemistry. Highland had enough players for three teams and then some, while Farnsworth had two subs on the bench. At the end, they were beaten by a much more skilled and superior team.
Mr. Bell came during the half-time to remind the girls that they should take this experience and turn it into a positive. They were encouraged knowing that they came this far to play for the City Championship title.
Either way, Farnsworth had a great season. There winning record this year was the best they had in the last five years. The girls are excited for next year to begin!!
