SPORTS AND THEIR MANAGEMENT

Junior varsity are those squads or teams whose participants include sophomores, juniors or seniors. "B" squads are those squads which have sophomores or below on them. 9th grade teams are those with only 9th graders on them. "C" squads are those squads which have any high school grade level.

Athletic equipment and supplies cannot be used by outside teams, organizations or individuals.

No doctor bills shall be paid by any school for an injured participant in the high school athletic program.

All schedules must be completed. If there is an extreme emergency, the decision will be made by the Athletic Council.

Except in an emergency, schedules will not be changed to accommodate other school functions. Any changes from the official schedule requested by a school shall be considered special, and if there are additional costs involved, such additional cost shall be assumed by the school making the request for a change.

Non-conference games shall not be arranged until the conference schedule is officially adopted. In general, all rules, regulations, prices and fees for non-conference games will parallel those of the conference.

Emergency Postponement -- if the Superintendent of Schools closes schools for an emergency, athletic events will be postponed only if so directed by the Athletic Council.

Practice:

Practice in any sport is not permitted between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Hockey practice shall be confined to established outdoor or indoor rinks.

Entertainment:

The athletic director in each school shall be the responsible person to know when and where the band, marching unit, cheerleaders or other entertaining groups are performing.

All entertainment between periods of games in football, basketball and hockey is limited to the home team except that the bands of both schools may play.

Transportation -- any bus trip in excess of 35 miles (one way) will be paid by the individual school.

Student Athletic Trips -- student fan groups following athletic teams to out-of-city athletic events should be discouraged.

Scrimmages and Jamborees will follow rules set forth by the M.S.H.S.L.

The host or designated school will keep monies for all tickets sold
