Thursday December 29th and Friday December 30th the Eagles participated in the Tartan HS Holiday Basketball Tournament in Oakdale, MN.  On the opening day, the Eagles played against the host Titans and were solidly defeated, 21-78.  The Titans' defense prevented the Eagles from ever establishing an offensive rhythym and forced multiple turnovers which they turned into easy baskets.   

On Friday the 30th, the Eagles played two games.  First up were the Monticello Magic.  The Eagles struggled offensively in the first half and were down 15-32 at the break; however, in the second half the Eagles' defense tightened and the two teams played even.  The final score was 35-52 for the Magic.

The final game was against the Panthers of Spring Lake Park.  In this contest fatigue became a major factor as the Eagles only brought eight players into the tournament while most other teams brough 12-15.  The Eagles completed valiantly, but were untimately defeated 34-63.

The Eagles are off until Friday January 6th when they travel to Central HS to play the Minutemen. This is double-header with the 9th grade tipping off at 4 PM and the JV game following at 5:30 PM.
