ST. PAUL CITY CONFERENCE: Middle School Boys' Soccer Guidelines
			 
			  
			
				- The boys' soccer coaches meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2015,  at 5:15 p.m., 360 Colborne, Auditorium B (first floor).
				
  
				 
				- Opening date for practice is Monday, September 14, 2015. 
				
  
				 
				- Coach or school athletic director is responsible for hiring the official for each home game. They must also forward, in a timely manner, the Independent Contractor voucher to the District Office so that officials are paid. 
				
  
				 
				- Medical examinations are required for all participants. 
				
  
				 
				- Practice shall be conducted five days a week, except on the days when games are scheduled. 
				
  
				 
				- A minimum of seven players are needed to start a game. 
				
  
				 
				- A game will consist of two 30-minute halves, running time, except for injury. Halftime is seven minutes. 
				
  
				 
				- Teams will change ends after each half. 
				
  
				 
				- The goalie must wear a different color jersey from own team. 
				
  
				 
				- Substitution: 
				
					- On their own corner kick 
 
					- On their own throw-in 
 
					- In any goal kick (either end) 
 
					- Any injury (unlimited substitution)
 
				 
				  
				 
				- A tie game stays as a tie. 
				
  
				 
				- The results of the game should be called in by the HOME coach to Laura Ranum by phone (767-3490) or e-mail (laura.ranum@SPPS.org) for Website posting. 
				
  
				 
				- Request to play non-conference games must be made through the Athletic Director in charge of boys' soccer. 
				
  
				 
				- Transportation to and from games must be by bonded carrier only. 
				
  
				 
				- The standings will be compiled using a point system of three points for wins, one point for tie, and no points for losses. 
				
  
				 
				- Medals will be awarded to the City Champion at a scheduled board meeting. 
				
  
				 
				- Anything not covered here will follow the MSHSL rules.
