Sr. High Adapted Softball

 

ST. PAUL CITY CONFERENCE: Adapted Softball Guidelines

 

  1. Opening date for practice will be Monday, March 6, 2017.

     

  2. All coaches are encouraged to join the St. Paul Coaches Association and the Minnesota State Softball Coaches Association.

     

  3. Except as modified by the MSHSL in its Rules Supplement, the National Federation Softball Rules will be used during the season.

     

  4. Two (2) umpires will be provided for each conference game.

     

  5. Coaches are to notify the school athletic director of game results the morning of the next school day for the weekly district report.

     

  6. Ground rules must be agreed upon with the umpires before the game begins.

     

  7. The home team will furnish the bases.

     

  8. If weather conditions, before 1:00 p.m., necessitate postponement of the game, the home team will notify all concerned.

     

  9. Postponed games will be rescheduled by the two schools involved on the first available date.

     

  10. Junior varsity games shall not start a new inning after 4:30 p.m.

     

  11. Pre-game game warm up is from 3:45-4:00 p.m. (earlier if gym is available).

     

  12. The M.A.A.A. conference championship shall be based on conference games only. A trophy will be awarded to the conference champion.

     

  13. The coach of the St. Paul team, regardless if home or away, will report the game results to the media to promote adapted floor hockey. St. Paul coach should contact John Vosejpka by phone (651-353-1927) or e-mail (johnvosejpka1717@gmail.com) with results of varsity games for website posting on the volunteer athletic site.    Contact the athletic secretary for results to be posted on the district athletic website.

     

  14. All-Conference selections will be made at the post-season meeting.
