ST. PAUL CITY CONFERENCE: Nordic Skiing Guidelines

  1. The Nordic ski coaches meeting will be held on a date, time and site TBA.

  2. Opening date for nordic skiing is Monday, November 9, 2015.

  3. All coaches are encouraged to join the St. Paul Coaches Association and the Minnesota State Coaches Association.

  4. All participants must meet the MSHSL regulations for interscholastic competition as defined by the Athletic Council.

  5. Participants must supply their own equipment. Equipment should be brought to school on the days of practice and meets and stored in a safe place until buses arrive.

  6. Bus transportation to and from the ski area will be by bonded carrier. Participants are required to ride the bus to and from the ski areas.

  7. Nordic skiing scoring: the total number of competitors in a meet will determine points. The skier finishing first will receive the amount of points as the number of competitors. For example, if there are 60 skiers, the skier with the lowest time will receive 60 points, the skier with the second lowest time will receive 59, the third lowest time, 58, etc. The points of the first four (4) skiers representing their schools will be added and compared to determine a winner between the competing schools.

  8. Updated ski schedule will be available at ski coaches pre-season meeting.

  9. The winning coach is responsible for calling in the score.
